SECCA is individually handmade by skilled glass artisans. It is made of 2 layers of hard glass with 1 layer of soft glass in between, and only the inner soft glass cracks over time due to differences in shrinkage. The cracks increase only slightly over a period of about three years after production.They are unique with its own glass manufacturing method and its aging process. The shape, weight, bubbles, and the way the inner glass is broken differ from piece to piece due to the unique glass manufacturing process. Please understand that since each SECCA is handmade, there will be small differences in each one. We hope you enjoy your SECCA as it slowly changes over time.
